Drawing is the foundation of artworks in any media but drawing by itself (for example a pencil drawing or sketch) is often assigned less importance by the general public unless it happens to be the work of an established well-known artist.
Since I often draw prior to creating a work in other art mediums/processes, much of what will be posted here will be available for purchase when I have completed work for which the drawing was a preliminary step. As mentioned on my Paintings page, artworks using soft pastel as a medium can be considered paintings or drawings depending on how it is applied. Some of my pastel works will be shown on this Drawings page and some might be grouped with the Paintings page.
Whenever possible I draw/paint from live models and will post those works here from time to time. If I'm not creating a specific portrait or figurative work, then I may treat the human form as an element of still life or an abstraction.
